The Griddle - Caldwell: Fresh, Flavorful Breakfast & Brunch with Friendly Service in Downtown Caldwell

My wife and I tried this place and were amazed by the clean modern layout, the huge menu options that had just a bit more to offer then most breakfast places, and I was personally impressed with the smooth cup of coffee. The waitstaff were very kind and courteous and our service was quick. One thing I did notice was the focus on “real” ingredients. No artificial sweeteners on the tables, the peppers in my meal tasted fresh chopped, and many of the other ingredients tasted fresh and well prepared. Overall, it was a great option and a nice addition to downtown Caldwell.

We had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at the new Griddle in Caldwell. They opened their doors on Tuesday morning with no advertising or fanfair. We showed up for breakfast on Friday morning and they were crazy busy. They had a ton of employees running their tails off helping customers. It was fun to see EVERYONE smiling and working so hard. Our server was Jen, she was absolutely spectacular! She's not usually a server, she is actually a manager we found out, but you couldn't tell that by the way she was hustling. I think most of the employees stopped at least once to check on us, all very friendly. We even visited with the owner who was doing every job also. She was super kind! As far as the food, it was as tasty as all the other Griddle's around the valley. Also, just as a side note, their Bloody Mary's are excellent. I think I'd go back just for one of them. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was excellent, and the people were more than excellent. I'm so excited to have the Griddle in Caldwell and will certainly go back over and over again. I couldn't give anyone a higher recommendation than The Griddle, absolutely spectacular!

My husband and I stopped by for breakfast over the weekend and really enjoyed the food. The place was packed with people and there was a " Please seat yourself" sign when you walked in. There was a table available that sat 6 so my husband and I didn't want to take it since it was just the two of us so we decided to wait. The wait time was minimal for it being so packed and we got our food pretty quick as well. The customer service was great and our waitress was very attentive. Overall, we were satisfied with the quality of the food and the atmosphere. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to enjoy your breakfast then this is probably not the place to go but it is great for families and people who don't mind the chattering. We will definitely be back.

Great location, great experience, even better food! The service was fast and friendly. I had the Crab Cake Benedict (and I requested the omission of the roasted red peppers): Hollandaise was perfect, crab cakes were VERY rich and flavorful, and the poached eggs were spot on. The crab cakes were a bit heavy on the lemon, which I enjoyed but others might find overwhelming. Side note - the hash browns were not soggy at all and were actually extra crispy (but not burnt), which is my absolute favorite way to have them. The rest of our party ordered... 1) Chorizo Benedict: I tried her Chipotle Hollandaise, and next time I think I'll order that on my Crab Cake Benedict instead of the standard Hollandaise! 2) Savory Crepe: It looked fantastic and she was pleased with it. It was also topped with Hollandaise! 3) Stuffed French Toast with raspberry sauce, with a side order of a sausage patty. The French toast was absolutely decadent. Her sausage patty was a bit dry, but that didn't detract from the overall flavor and she was quite happy.

I checked out The Griddle in Caldwell for the first time and honestly, it lived up to the hype. I got one of their specialty burritos, and it was legit — big, loaded with flavor, and definitely worth the price. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and everything tasted like it was made with care. I also grabbed a mocha, which was surprisingly really good — smooth, rich, and not crazy sweet like some other places. The place itself looks awesome. It’s super clean and has a nice, modern setup, but still feels chill and welcoming. The service was great — our server checked on us often enough that we never needed anything, but not so much that it got annoying. They kept everything moving even though the place was packed. Overall, everything just felt solid — great food, quick service, and a good atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot where you can grab breakfast with friends or just relax on your own with coffee. I’d definitely come back here again and try more of the menu. Caldwell really needed a place like this, and The Griddle nailed it.

Finding a decent brunch spot in Nampa was a chore - at least something that wasn’t a chain option. We stumbled across The Griddle and were pleasantly surprised. This was mid morning on a Saturday and they were packed. It was a 20-30 minute wait so definitely plan ahead. The staff sat us as quickly as they could and were all very attentive and friendly throughout our meal - impressive given how busy they were. We had the pecan cinnamon roll for a starter and a half caraf (or two) of mimosas while we waited for the rest of our party. They had several different juice options, I think we went with huckleberry. The cinnamon rolls here are a must have! Delicious down to every bite. My partner ordered the gravy train potatoes and shared and it was seasoned well, potatoes were crispy and the portion was generous. My son had a breakfast burrito. Also great portion. Would highly recommend, we liked it so much we went back before heading home to CA.
